Our Story …
… began in 1948 with two men, four wheels and an idea: Günther Brümmer and Hugo von Rautenkranz founded the haulage company BurSped in Hamburg with a single lorry. Over the years, this developed into a successful and independent group of companies with its own fleet of lorries and its own storage facilities with locations in Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen.
And that’s how it went on…
In 1969, the company “ELKAWE” Container- Service- und Vertriebs-G.m.b.H. & Co. KG was founded in 1969; the company manages the vehicle fleet for KG Bursped Speditons-G.m.b.H. & Co.
In 1988, Günther Brümmer took over the international haulage company Carl Köster & Louis Hapke GmbH & Co. KG in Hanover.
On 1 July 2004, the newly founded joint venture of KG BURSPED Spedition GmbH & Co. Bremen, A. Hartrodt Bremen and Schmidt-Gevelsberg Bremen, the new company BHS Spedition & Logistik GmbH Bremen was added.
In Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen, all 3 companies are members of CargoLine GmbH & Co. KG.
